Giving Our Batteries a Second Life
At PowerPlus Energy, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the first life of our batteries. Systems that reach their 10 year service life can be returned to our facility, where each unit is carefully tested, quality checked and assessed for its next stage.
One of the key pathways available is our repurposing program, where suitable batteries are refurbished and given a second life in low power community, education and charity projects. This extends their useful life and delivers reliable power where it is needed most, while ensuring every battery is utilised to its full potential.

Responsible Recycling Commitment
Our Pledge To Our Customers
When a PowerPlus Energy battery is removed from service it can be returned to our head manufacturing facility for safe processing and recycling.
Extended Lifecycle
Where possible, returned batteries will be refurbished and tested so they can be repurposed for low-power applications, community, education and charity projects. This helps extend battery life, reduce waste and keep valuable materials out of landfill.
Recycling Process
Any lithium cells not suitable for repurposing will be sent to a licensed recycling facility, where ferrous and non-ferrous metals are separated and processed through our metals recycling partners.
