Dear valued customer,
At PowerPlus Energy, we recognise success is built on strong partnerships, and I want to personally thank you for the role you play in supporting Australian-made energy storage.
PowerPlus Energy remains Australia’s leading supplier of locally designed, engineered, and manufactured batteries and BESS systems, and your ongoing commitment to PowerPlus Energy helps us continue to lead the Australian energy transition.
For those of you I haven’t met, I’m the Executive Chairman at PowerPlus, driving our customer-led innovation across all our market segments. But this business is nothing without the incredible team of BDMs, engineers, production, and support staff that ensure we can deliver the right product on time, backed by local support for all your customers.
These are unprecedented times of global uncertainty, making locally supported energy storage more important than ever. PowerPlus Energy continues to lead as Australia’s largest manufacturer of stationary storage batteries, proudly delivering reliable solutions when they matter most.
The upcoming changes to the Cheaper Home Battery Program in May make our Whispr residential stackable system an excellent option for customers. With its 7kW fanless inverter and 13.4kWh of storage, the Whispr is perfectly sized for the revised rebate scheme and allowing installers to unlock 100% of the rebate potential.
Streamlining residential installs and freeing up your time to focus on the growing C&I market, where PowerPlus Energy offers a full range of BESS product; the Escape20, our CEC-listed Eco4847P battery and the Escape215-R.
As our industry continues to grow, it is also important that we collectively do a better job of addressing concerns around battery fires. The storage industry, PowerPlus Energy included, generally uses lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) chemistries that are safer than cobalt-based chemistries prevalent in e-bikes and e-scooters, which have been subject to many recent fire risk concerns.
At PowerPlus Energy, we believe it is essential to go even further in mitigating these risks. Not only do we ensure that every rack-mounted battery we manufacture goes through a full charge/discharge testing cycle in our Melbourne facility, but we are also in the final stages of bringing a next-generation LFP battery to market with UL9540A certification, the LiFe4851. UL9540A represents the world’s highest standard for battery fire safety, and our new product will be available soon through our trusted distribution network.
Finally, we are not resting on our laurels. This is an industry undergoing a rapid transition driven by external pressure, new opportunities, and increasingly software-driven solutions. At PowerPlus Energy, we intend to be at the forefront of this change.
In the meantime, please reach out to any of the team for more information on our full range of solutions for your customers’ needs, or simply to let us know what we can do better.
